Supported Colorado Trail Hiking Expeditions
The Colorado Trail is divided into six sections with five hiking days each week (Section 6 only has four hiking days). Each day’s hike will vary between 10 and 20 miles, with most days averaging around 15 miles. Hiking The Colorado Trail involves lots of climbing. You start at high elevations and go higher each day, with lots of ups and downs in between. The elevation gains and losses are included below.
COST:
$925 per person, per section.
This includes all meals, support crew and trail guides. Participants need to supply their own sleeping bag and tent. (Rentals are available) The Colorado Trail Foundation retains 5% of the trip price and dedicates it to maintaining the trail.
HOW THE DIFFICULTY RATING WORKS…
Keep in mind ALL of the trail is
maintained and does NOT require any
rock climbing skills. The difficulty rating is determined
by the average altitude of each hiking section (above
or below timberline), daily hiking distances, consecutive
daily elevation gains and losses, and exposure to weather
above timberline.
Please contact us if you need clarification
on the difficulty of any section you want to hike. info@coloradotrailhiking.com
